Traineeships

Traineeships are short, structured training programmes which combine learning in an education and training setting with learning in the workplace. These are delivered by DDLETB in partnership with employers.

DDLETB work with industry representatives and employers throughout Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown to identify skills gaps and future skills needs and then develop traineeships in partnership with employers in order to deliver the skills required.

Traineeships give employers access to a pool of learners who are developing skills and gaining on-the-job experience in relevant sectors. By tailoring programmes to meet local needs, traineeships can improve employment outcomes for the trainees and increase retention of staff and productivity for employers.
